Amy Winehouse arrested – sad, yet again.

Yes, the British blues singer was arrested last week for, “perverting the course of justice,” according to a British newspaper.  I’m not sure if that’s the same as obstruction of justice, but the girl’s seriously got issues.

 I went to a dinner party last Saturday with some friends of mine who work in radio, and her name came up in conversation.  We all thought that it was quite a shame that woman with such pure talent has made such a mess of herself.  We actually got a little somber over the whole thing. 

Her mother agrees.  According to Yahoo news, Janis Winehouse wrote in a letter published by the News of the World newspaper last week, stating,  ”We want to help you, but we know that unless you want to be helped, unless you come to us, anything we tried would be in vain.  Early fame has overwhelmed you, it’s dizzied you and muddled your mind.”  How true.

Amy, we wish you the best.  We truly do.  We sincerely hope whatever path you choose, you’re able to pull out from the funk and gain some hold of reality.  We would love to hear more of you, more of your soul, more of your thoughts, and more of your voice.
